Caroline Bruzelius is a co-founder of Visualizing Venice and a member of  the Steering Committee. She is also a co-founder of Duke University’s  “Wired!” group, a team that integrates digital visualization technology into teaching and research.
Bruzelius received her Ph.D. from Yale University and her B.A. from Wellesley College in the field of medieval architecture.
She has published extensively on Gothic architecture in France and in Italy. Since 2001 she has been collaborating with Donatella Calabi, Università Iuav di Venezia, and Venice International University on graduate seminars on the history of the city and monuments of Venice and the Veneto. She is A. M. Cogan Professor at Duke University and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
