Guido Zucconi

Guido Zucconi is a member of the Visualizing Venice Steering Committee and has participated in the definition of the project’s goals from the very start. He is a full professor of History of Architecture at the Università Iuav di Venezia and, since January 2014, president of the Ateneo Veneto in Venice. Zucconi graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1975 and, in 1977, from Princeton University on scholarship. Zucconi has coordinated Visualizing Venice’s research program on the Fondaco dei Turchi and is now leading the start-up on “Approaching Venice,” a study on the built/unbuilt infrastructures designed to improve mobility in Venice and in the Lagoon.
