Martina Massaro graduated in Art History and Conservation of the Artistic Heritage with honors from the Università Ca’Foscari in Venice, with a thesis on Eugenio Bosa’s Drawings Legacy at Correr Museum in Venice. She is a PhD candidate in History of the Arts at the Scuola dottorale interateneo Ca’ Foscari-Iuav and a research fellow at the Università Iuav in Venice. Her Phd dissertation titled Giacomo Treves dei Bonfili (1788-1885) collector and patron. The collection of a philanthropist patriot embraces the contents of collection, the processes which initiated its formation, and the circumstances of the collector himself.  Martina Massaro is interested in study of collections and their collectors during the eighteenth and nineteenth century, as a subject opened to multidisciplinary interactions with social and economic history, particularly focused on jewish community.
