Iara Dundas is a doctoral student in the department of Art, Art History & Visual Studies at Duke University specializing in 16th and 17th century architecture in France and Italy. Her special interests are in ephemera and the relationship between temporary structures and permanent constructions, especially within the context of court and religious festivals and spectacles. At Duke she’s been involved with the Wired! Group, both as a student and as a teaching assistant, in courses that merge the use of digital technologies with historical research. She has been a part of Visualizing Venice since the Summer of 2012 working with the Accademia group.
