Eleonora Charans is an art historian and, since 2011, has been a teaching assistant at the Politecnico di Milano. Her interests range from contemporary art collecting to sculpture parks and gardens, to the neo-vanguards of the 1960s and ‘70s, to video art and photography, to the history of exhibitions, with particular emphasis on the history of the Venice Biennale. Her first monograph, Gino De Dominicis Seconda soluzione di immortalità, was published in November 2012 by Scalpendi Editore (Milan). She also contributes to various journals and magazines, including, most recently, “Studies in the History of Gardens and Designed Landscape,” “Ricerche di S/Confine,” “Artpress,” “Arteecritica,” “Tecla,” and “Venezia Arti.”

Charans received a PhD in Theories and History of Arts from the School of Advanced Studies in Venice Foundation in May 2012, with a dissertation entitled “From Private to Public. The case of the Egidio Marzona Collection.” In 2007 and 2008, she worked as a teaching assistant at the Università Iuav di Venezia.
